Anthony P. Bossis, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and on the psychiatry faculty at NYU School of Medicine with specialties in treating end-of-life emotional suffering and conducting research on the nature of religious or mystical experience, utilizing the natural compound psilocybin. Dr. Bossis was a leading investigator on the landmark 2016 study documenting the efficacy of a single mystical experience in dramatically reducing end-of-life distress and enhancing spiritual well-being in cancer patients. He is currently leading a study evaluating mystical experience upon religious leaders from the major world religions. His clinical and research practice, writings, and lectures are devoted to palliative care, the nature of consciousness, comparative religion, and the interface of spirituality and psychology.
Jeannette Athena Rothweiler, M.A., LMFT is a transpersonal and depth-psychotherapist, a mythologist, group facilitator, and principal of www.AnimaMundiJourneys.com leading groups to the sacred sites in Greece. Over the last 25 years she has worked in private practice, in integrative medicine and hospice care, as a fund-raiser, and mother of twins. She has explored archetypal, mythological, and mystical expressions across cultures and throughout time, including the great mystery schools of ancient Greece. Despite today’s challenges in the world, she is committed to affirming all that is good and beautiful in humanity and life.
